FinancialInsight ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at financial-insight.uk. We provide AI-powered company credit checks and financial analysis for UK businesses.

2. What data we collect

• Account data: your email address when you sign up or log in via Supabase Auth
• Usage data: which companies you look up, how many credit checks you run, and your subscription tier
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe — we never store card numbers or payment details
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and page visit data collected by Google Analytics and Google Ads
• Bug reports: any description and contact email you submit voluntarily via the bug report button

3. How we use your data

• To provide and improve the credit check service
• To manage your account, subscription, and billing
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, subscription receipts)
• To measure and improve the performance of the website via analytics
• To show relevant advertising via Google Ads

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, use it for profiling beyond the service, or send marketing emails without your consent.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase — user authentication and database hosting. Supabase Privacy Policy

• Google Analytics / Google Ads — website analytics and advertising measurement. Google Privacy Policy
• Companies House, The Gazette, OFSI, HMRC — public UK government data sources used to generate credit reports. No personal data is sent to these services beyond the company numbers you look up.

5. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (session management via Supabase) and analytics (Google Analytics). By using the site, you consent to these cookies. You can disable analytics cookies by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

6. Data retention

• Account and usage data: retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Credit check history: retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted
• Payment records: retained by Stripe per their legal obligations

7. Your rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data ("right to erasure")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
